Bathroom Remodeling

Looking to fix up your bathroom in Dubai or Sharjah? You found the right team. We’re UAR Decor and we’ve been doing bathroom renovations across the UAE for over 8 years now. We know what works here and what doesn’t.

The thing is, bathrooms in Dubai and Sharjah take a beating. The heat, humidity, and all that daily use – it’s tough on any space. We’ve seen way too many botched jobs where some other company used cheap stuff or didn’t do the waterproofing right. Then 6 months later, you got mold, tiles falling off, and a big mess.

That’s not how we roll. We use proper materials that can handle our crazy weather, and our work comes with a real warranty because we actually stand behind what we build.

Materials We Use in Dubai & Sharjah

Tiles: Porcelain is your best bet here. Handles the humidity and heat changes without cracking. We stay away from natural stone unless it’s properly sealed.

Fixtures: Stainless steel and brass hold up great. Chrome can show water spots but it’s still good quality.

Paint: Anti-mold paint is a must. Regular paint will just peel off in a few months.

Waterproofing: We use membrane systems that actually work. None of that cheap plastic sheet stuff.

Wood: Marine-grade only if you really want wood. Usually we recommend against it.

Bathroom Renovation Case Studies

Water Damaged Master Bath in Al Barsha Villa

Had this villa owner call us up – her master bathroom was a disaster. 15-year-old place, tiles falling off the walls, mold everywhere. Turns out the original contractors did a terrible job with waterproofing.

We had to gut the whole thing. Found water damage going into the wall structure, so we rebuilt those sections properly. Put in new waterproofing system, moved some plumbing around, installed a big walk-in shower with rainfall head and body jets. Added heated floors and double vanity too.

Took us 3 weeks and actually came in under budget. Owner was super happy – no more mold, no more falling tiles, and it looks amazing now.

Tiny Apartment Bathroom in Sharjah

This young couple had the smallest bathroom you ever saw in their Sharjah apartment. Could barely turn around in there, no storage, everything felt cramped.

We got creative with the layout – moved the toilet to a corner spot, put in a corner shower instead of that bulky bathtub they had. Built storage niches right into the shower walls and went with a floating vanity to open up floor space. Used big tiles to make it feel bigger.

Didn’t change the actual size but it felt 50% bigger when we were done. They said it completely changed their morning routine.

Restaurant Bathroom Renovation in Dubai Marina

Had a restaurant owner who needed to update their customer bathrooms but couldn’t afford to shut down. The bathrooms were gross and customers were complaining.

We did it in phases – one bathroom at a time so they could stay open. Used commercial-grade everything – fixtures that can handle heavy use, proper ventilation, accessibility features for disabled customers.

Got it done in 10 days total. Restaurant owner said customer reviews got way better after that.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How long does bathroom renovation take in Dubai?

Depends what you’re doing. Simple stuff like new tiles and fixtures – maybe 1-2 weeks. Full renovation with plumbing changes – 3-4 weeks. We don’t rush because that’s how you get problems later.

For major work, yeah. Dubai Municipality wants permits for plumbing and electrical changes. We handle all that paperwork for you though.

Porcelain tiles for sure. They don’t absorb water and handle temperature changes great. Stay away from marble unless you want to be cleaning it constantly.

Yep, we adjust our schedule. Early morning and evening work when it’s cooler. Some materials need special handling in the heat but we know how to deal with it.

Pretty similar actually. Materials cost about the same, permits might be slightly less in Sharjah. Depends more on what you want done than where you are.

That’s one of our most popular jobs. Great for older folks or just if you want more space. We handle all the plumbing changes and waterproofing.

No worries, we work with all the big developers. We know their requirements and help you get the NOCs from building management.

1 year warranty on all our workmanship. Fixtures come with manufacturer warranties. And we actually answer our phone if you need us.

Good ventilation is key – run those exhaust fans. Clean tiles regularly, check sealants every few months. We give you a maintenance guide with every job.

Sure, but it’s not fun. We try to work fast and keep dust contained. If you got another bathroom to use, that makes it way easier.

Skipping proper waterproofing to save money. The humidity here will find any weak spots and you’ll have expensive problems later.

Sometimes, especially if it helps minimize disruption. We try to be flexible with scheduling, just talk to us about what works.
